Unlocking an Apple iPhone

If your looking at getting an iPhone then you may get told you have to go with AT&T in order to unlock the Apple iPhone. While all the stores that sell the iPhone will tell you this it is not 100% true. One thing holding many people back from getting this sweet phone is they are already locked in two year contracts with another company and don’t want to pay a few hundred bucks to break the contract. Hey I can’t blame you there.

So What’s the Secret of Unlocking an Apple iPhone?

I have unlocked many Apply iPhones for friends. All you need is a few things. The first is a compatible SIM card. Most likely your old phone has a SIM card that will work but if it does not consider asking a retailer that sells iPhones. Once you have a card that works you will need to use the Jailbreak software. This is the secret to unlocking an Apple iPhone. You do not have to use this software but it is much easier. There are plenty of sites that show you some manual ways to hack the iPhone and unlock it. All of them involve about 20 minutes of time but work great. You do not have to be an expert in any way to use this software or one of the guides.

On thing to keep in mind is if you do go this route at some point and time your phone may lock again. I have not had it happen and it’s been a good 8 months but if Apple sends a firmware update you may need to re-apply the Unlocking tool to get up and going again.
